Review: The Producers
SPRING IS COMING FOR HITLER
IT’S OUTRAGEOUSLY FUNNY
It’s outrageous! But damn fun! And so infinitely skillful!
The Producers, Spring Is Coming for Hitler is a musical delicacy that has no
loaded with any social message, except for the fact that the dictators’
The power pales when you laugh at it.
Hitler was first ridiculed by Charles Chaplin in The Dictator.
It was a brave work, because Hitler was at the height of his power, and the United States did not
was still involved in the war. Chaplin was caught up in a storm of disapproval.
Mel Brooks’ film Spring Is Coming for Hitler was completed a lot after the war
but it was frowned upon as well. And a musical made from a movie
was also frowned upon.
The Producers also make fun of Broadway producers and
Gay humor far exceeds the limit of good taste. Still, I didn’t hear very many
hurt comments (there were those, too).
The Producers shows that the Helsinki City Theatre knows how to create a musical
at least as well as in London. Dancers can sing and act –
Or are they singing actors who can dance.
In Roine’s backpack
Good food
Esko Roine does an absolutely unsurpassed job as a sleazy producer. He is
charismatic as anything, I almost want to go to the grandma’s choir myself
to shout “come and squeeze”.
Roine’s producer friend Antti Timonen doesn’t have quite as much stage radiance.
But according to the script, he has to be a wimp.
Director Roger, portrayed by Santeri Kinnunen, is the king of puppet boys, his
Lari Halme, who plays his closest assistant, takes the chick gay to the third
power.
Risto Kaskilahti is a Hitler fan in New York who remembers Nazism. His
the leather pants joke he wrote about Hitler is, according to the scam producers,
so bad that it is not even shown to the end on the first night.
The director will be a homppeli (Kinnunen) who has made Herttilei musicals. So
The flop is certain.
But when the director has to play the main role, he does it unintentionally
So horribly ridiculous about Hitler that the people think they are seeing a wonderful
Satire and success is assured. Prison awaits impostor producers.
That is

The girl in the musical is the Swedish-born blonde Ulla, a bimbo who, in the end,
Finally, it’s not so much a bimbo. He is only played from theatre school
Anna-Maija Tuokko. There is hiss and sparkle in the girl. He is
spectacular, can sing and makes Ulla oozing with sex and humor.
If we were on Broadway, the light letters of Tuokko’s name outside the theater
would be enlarged after the premiere.
Jyrki Seppä has created an absolutely thumping set for the second
to the Hitler performance. That’s where Wagner’s Valkyries and Wagner’s Valkyries get fat.
The pomposity of National Socialism, not forgetting the creaking of leather pants.
Markku Nenonen’s choreography works brilliantly. Formed by humans, in the mirror

Of course, director Neil Hardwick says that he went to see the musical Producers

Music plays and
leather pants ring
Mel Brooks has composed the songs of the musical himself, they feel easy,
but often they are not. Esko Roine’s Oh no!– song of the second act
towards the end is dizzying. In it, he realizes that he himself has been betrayed.
Kaskilahti’s pig-funny leather pants songs are not easy either.
At least you have to know how to scream German and pigeons! Mikko Vihman
The Nazi tenor sings in a wonderfully Wagnerian style.
All in all, the music is excellent for everyone. Nick Daviesin
The orchestra conducted by him is first class.
If I have to say something negative, I think the first act is too
long. A little too long, the preparations are made for the joy of the second act. Only when
Kaskilahti and, above all, Halme and Tuokko join the story,
Speed up.
Spring is coming for Hitler leaps over the politically correct
behavior. Too serious people may not support the adventures of scam producers
but it’s hard not to laugh.
The prices of musical tickets are quite high, although they are a lot on Broadway
higher, but that is no consolation for Finns. It’s worth striving for something
group. Group tickets are somewhat cheaper.
