Are you a top expert in sound technology who wants to be involved in creating the most impressive performances on the big stage? If you have strong technical skills and a passion for the world of theatre, this position may be just for you.

Helsinki City Theatre is looking for a SOUND MASTER for the period 3.8.2026 – 31.3.2027 or by agreement.

As a sound master, you will create experiences for the audience and ensure the high-quality sound technical implementation of rehearsals and performances. Your tasks include sound driving and sound monitoring of performances, sound technical preparation for rehearsal and performance seasons, as well as the use, assembly, dismantling and basic maintenance of equipment.

The sound master also participates in the storage of sound equipment, equipment management, maintenance of the equipment register and the organisation of maintenance activities. In addition, you will actively participate in the development of occupational safety, working methods and work culture.

The sound engineer is required to have a suitable education or work experience in the field, the ability to work independently, and good cooperation and interaction skills. In addition to Finnish, the position requires proficiency in English. In addition, we require basic IT skills.

We hope that the applicants are people of different ages and genders, as well as people belonging to linguistic, cultural or other minorities.

The salary for the position is in accordance with the collective agreement for the theatre sector. In sound technology, we work in two shifts, morning and evening shifts from Monday to Saturday.
