Review: Aleksi Suomesta

“The play delivers on its promise of increasing understanding clearly. Ari-Pekka Lahti’s adaptation of Tuomas Kyrö’s book is great and the narrative is powerful. Roderick Kabanga empathizes with every cell of his being as Aleksi. A great performance. Eetu Känkänen is extremely clear and he balances the conveyance of the narrative. The first half is explosive and clear. The second half is demanding to follow due to various flashbacks. The end of the story is arresting.”
