Middle-aged brothers account

Two brothers meet at the family’s estate. Victor has stayed behind to take care of his old father, Walter has left at a young age and has had an extensive career as a doctor.

Arthur Miller’s The Price is a classic and its setting is familiar from many stories. The jealousy between siblings, unfulfilled dreams, memories and remembering are always discussed. And thanks to Aleksi Milonoff’s natural translation, the text also works in the present day.

On stage, the tension is maintained by skilled men: Esko Salminen is a mystical antique dealer, Santeri Kinnunen is a sensitive caretaker brother and Eero Aho is an emotionless achiever. Or did it all go that way after all? Whose interpretation of the past is ultimately correct?
