Review: Nukkekoti, osa 2

Men leave their families all the time, but what happens if the person who leaves is a woman? The new play A Doll’s House Part 2 continues to reflect on where Henrik Ibsen’s classic left off.

Nora Helmer from the dollhouse enters through the door she left through years ago. Now Nora is a successful writer on her own terms, who has a request for her ex-husband. The voltage is ready. The encounters between Nora and the loved ones she left behind inevitably escalate into frenzied battles in which the audience’s emotions are not spared either. Susanna Mikkonen is the charismatic Nora, whose heart is in pieces but her soul is intact. He radiates the joy of being right.
