The Red Room costs to go in-depth

The Red Room at the Little Theatre tells the same story as Kaj Korkea-aho’s novel, but with a
emphasis on the complexity of the characters. The finesse and nuances have had to cost time and
resources to carefully dissect is a hallmark of Milja Sarkola’s directorial work, and all the
visuals, especially the costume design, further deepen the portraits of the characters.

(…) Samu-Jussi Koski’s delicious costume design is, in addition to being a delight to the eye, a narrative device that wordlessly formulates something more about the characters than is said in the dialogue.
