Review: Kolmen kimppa

Clement Michel’s Threesome premiered at Studio Pasila on 12 September. The play was absolutely hilarious. At times, the audience burst into laughter.

Pauli (Jarkko Niemi) was tired of his girlfriend Sofia (Elina Hietala) However, Pauli didn’t want to upset Sofia, but hoped that Sofia would understand for herself that their relationship just wasn’t working and would leave. Pauli invites his friend Martin (Olli Rahkonen) to live in his home, because Sofia herself had told Paul that a threesome would never work and before long one of the three would lose his nerve and leave. After Martin moves in with Paul and Sofia, things start to happen. At times, it felt like there was no end to the laughter as the play progressed. Jarkko Niemi’s performance as Paul was quite charming. In other respects, too, the enthusiasm and dedication of the young actors to their roles was transmitted to the audience.

At first, Martin does not perform well in Paul’s opinion. Martin makes good food and gets along well with Sofia. Pauli instructs his friend to sit limply at the table and fart so that Sofia would have enough and leave. Pauli realizes that he loves Sofia, but before that, Martin and Sofia had found each other. They had a small relationship. In the end, Pauli and Martin are left alone. Sofia is leaving! I think this crazy funny comedy is very suitable for Christmas parties, for example.
