Hinta
Poignant, moving, powerfulNote: No longer in repertoire!
Arthur Miller’s moving play asks what price we pay for the choices we make in life. Hinta is a timeless and deeply affecting family drama that also offers plenty of moments of laughter.
Brothers Victor and Walter meet again after many years to deal with their late father’s estate. Solomon, an elderly antiques dealer, has been called in to appraise the belongings in what will be his last major job.
Victor stayed behind to care for his father and gave up his dreams, while Walter went on to forge a successful career as a doctor. Victor’s wife Ester has grown bitter about their poverty and her husband’s lack of ambition. Now, as the brothers meet again after years apart, tensions are running high. And what remains of the family’s shared past – nothing but possessions?
The performance rights for the play are represented by Näytelmäkulma – Nordic Drama Corner Oy.
