HITCHCOCK, BLONDE AND MURDERThe British novelty on the small stage is Terry Johnson’s Hitchcock and the Blonde, directed by Neil Hardwick. It plays with ideas about the lost early work of the famous English-born Alfred Hitchcock, who directed most of his career in Hollywood, and the fatal blonde whose shadow was reflected in almost all of his films.Nudity, horror, death, murder and sex, which were also essential parts of the Hitchcockian story-gallery. Hitchcock, who had a strict Catholic upbringing and married his colleague film editor Alma Reville at an early age, drew his entire life from the contradictions between a Puritan upbringing (and religion) and reality. The themes are examined through conversations between an inhibited researcher approaching middle age and a young female student he has lured to become a research assistant, as well as a master director preparing his most famous scene and a beauty he has chosen for the necessary close-ups of his female body.Johnson draws from the ingredients a slightly overly long but fascinating collage of film and theatre. The effects come largely from the big screen – including the music (The Los Angeles Philharmonic’s The Film Scores, cond. Esa-Pekka Salonen), on the other hand, larger-than-life drama is common to both art forms. The brilliant actors Carl-Kristian Rundman, Sanna-June Hyde, Mari Perankoski, Mikko Kivinen and so on are half the food in this job as well.

Hitchock also undresses the play’s blonde When the play is warned: contains nude scenes, violence, and humour, the suspicion arises that the purpose is to attract sensationalist crowd in the stands. In the City Theatre’s novelty, In the Hitchcock and the Blonde play, the violence remains clean and Nudity is justified. Blonde reluctantly nude ponders what it feels like to be the only one completely naked in the middle of a film crew. After being timid for a while, the blonde gets aroused and cums just from the looks and but when the filming is over, no one even remembers to hand me over. a bathrobe for a blonde.

Read moreEl bimbo is just a man The Englishman Terry Johnson’s Hitchcock and the Blonde is a wonderful text. It’s sparklingly intelligent, uncontrollably funny, and extremely profound – all of it. In his play, Johnson reflects on the deepest essence of art and male power. For Hitchcock in the play, the suicide of a young woman has become an obsession that defines his entire career as an artist. Alex, who studies Hitchcock’s films in the present day, is obsessed with seducing young college girls. In this way, Johnson’s text also grows into a strong morality. What may be great and sublime in art can also be flattened into very small and low. It depends entirely on the angle of view. The question is, what exactly is the reason for the misogyny that plagues the world from one century to the next? For decades, Neil Hardwick has been a bridge-builder between English and Finnish culture. Hardwick, if anyone, also understands what a tricky text Johnson’s Hitchcock and the Blonde is on the Finnish stage. It’s a question of nuances. For example, private and public nudity is not quite the same thing for us Sauna Finns as it is for the English, who will apparently forever live in the golden age of Queen Victoria and the empire. Statistically, we Finns are also at least as life-threatening company for our loved ones as the English. However, Jack the Ripper’s surgeon’s knife or other subtleties of sadism are not used. The sharpest edge of Finnish violent entertainment is represented by the Swedish Mora knife. I think Hardwick solves these puzzles masterfully. The steering is airy. Hardwick leaves us viewers with a Häme gene time and space to realize the true side of the story. You can also feel the techniques of the master of timing from the fact that there are many places for explosive laughter in the performance. Hitchcock and Blonde is played breathtakingly magnificently. The erotic charge of the play is not created by nudity, but by the fact that Sanna-June Hyde as Nicolana as a student girl and Mari Perankoski as Hitchcock’s blonde put themselves on the line in an absolutely amazing way. The scene where a naked Perankoski carries Kari Mattila , wrapped in a slippery plastic raincoat, on his back to the stage is surely an absolutely incredible thing as a purely physical performance. It requires the resources of a female tiger.
Read moreTHE ICY TEMPTATION OF A BLONDE Terry Johnson’s suspense comedy presents an interpretation of the image of women in Alfred Hitchcock’s films The impenetrable icy lightness of the heroines fascinates fans of Alfred Hitchcock’s films. The most devoted fans wonder why the director makes psychopathic mother-killers and flocks of birds that have lost their instincts always attack blondes. Those in the know even wondered why Hitchcock had the need to systematically bleach Hollywood actresses. The Englishman Terry Johnson has tackled the subject with artistic freedom, without making any great man play. Despite his physical size, Johnson’s Hitchcock is a timid and small man. In fact, he is only seen in a few scenes set in 1959. The idea of the play is more complicated.
