Wrinkled Roses is a warm-hearted comedy about friendship, love and aging.

Paula, Eini, Erika and Sirkka – four widows in their seventies, friends, the Roses of the Square. The women share their lives together, and there is plenty to share. They don’t stay complaining about their ailments, but live a life that looks like them, enjoy themselves to the fullest and have fun together.

But something is missing. Love.

The roses plunge into the search for love boldly, because if you want to do something, you have to do it now. Women start dating different kinds of men, including both old acquaintances and new acquaintances found online. Drama, comedy, life are born.

Roses is a glowing praise of friendship and a high toast to the joys of aging and all the shades of life!

The play is based on Pirjo Tuominen’s best-selling novel of the same name (Tammi 2024).
