By the ocean, you don’t think about form, Agnes Martin remarks
Liike ja tyhjyys is a performance conceived, discussed, danced, performed and written together by Ami Karvonen, Kid Kokko and Anna Mustonen. The performance features a light installation by Meri Ekola.
The performance inhabits realms of emptiness, openness, dimness, looseness and sparseness; of grids, cavities, deserts, starry night skies, no, exhaustion, inaction, farewells and departures. It explores the sensation of refusal and the vastness of the space that refusal opens up. It looks into the spaces between the lines, towards the expanse beyond the focus. A landscape emerges, with room to exist.
The performance evokes a sense of both wonder and the ordinary.
