little_star95 – Are you online? is a nostalgia trip that invites you to take a trip to a teenage girl’s room and spend an evening on the internet in the early 2000s. The performance, which ventures between offline and online worlds, asks what kind of self-images and relationships the internet has created.

Teen drama finds its way from school to the internet, to fairy tales and galts. Who owns to whom and what, who is online and who is just out? The painful hierarchies between the girls emerge with sensitivity and precision on the computer screen.

In August 2025, a working group consisting of a new generation of theatre makers will take viewers to a time when the internet was not available, but they had to go there. The IRC Gallery, MSN Messenger and demi.fi will serve as environments and materials for this presentation. The performance has been carried out at the Contemporary Performance Stage’s summer residency. The stage will bring various forms of contemporary performance into the Helsinki City Theatre’s repertoire.
