At the beginning of 2023, Helsinki City Theatre’s audience outreach launched a new broadcast series, The Maker at the Point of His Work. In the series, we meet theatre employees in the middle of everyday work and get to know how the artistic worlds of theatre are created, how the repertoire is built, how the performers prepare for the performance and what theatre employees think is the best thing about the job.

The broadcasts will be available on HKT’s YouTube channel, after which the recordings will be available for viewing for two weeks.

The artist at work is part of the Art for the Homes of the Elderly project, which brings participatory art activities into the everyday lives of the elderly in Helsinki. In the project, people encounter art in different ways, remotely and face-to-face. The Art for the Homes of the Elderly activities are part of the Helsinki City Theatre’s audience outreach and are funded by the City of Helsinki.
