Nuori Näyttämö 2024-2027
Helsinki City Theatre is once again one of six professional theatres taking part in the nationwide Nuori Näyttämö project organised by Työväen Näyttämöiden Liitto.
Helsinki City Theatre has been involved in the nationwide Nuori Näyttämö programme organised by Työväen Näyttämöiden Liitto since 2013. Nuori Näyttämö brings young theatre enthusiasts together to work with professional theatre practitioners and playwrights.
This season’s youth groups have now been selected: 28 groups from 15 different localities will take part. Helsinki City Theatre is one of Nuori Näyttämö’s partner theatres and will mentor seven theatre groups from the Helsinki metropolitan area.
The selected groups are:
Sateenvarjonkäyttöohjeet / Pukinmäen taidekoulu
Fanny / Tikkurilan teatterikoulu
Ressun lukion teatteri
Oulunkylän yläasteen teatterikerho ja Koko koulun kuoro
Vaskivuoren lukio
Kipinä-Välke / Ilmaisukoulu Valo
Tapiolan lukion musiikkiteatteri
The selected youth theatre groups will create performances based on the play scripts, and each group will be paired with a theatre professional from one of the participating professional theatres. The productions will be developed during the 2026-2027 academic year. In spring 2027, the performances will be presented on professional theatre stages at six local festivals.
Helsinki City Theatre’s local festival will take place from 13.-15.5.2027 at Studio Pasila.
The theme of the Nuori Näyttämö programme for 2024–27 is Young People and the Forest.
The play scripts are available on the Nuori Näyttämö website.
The programme is organised by Työväen Näyttämöiden liitto ry.
