We are aware of our own social responsibility and environmental load. Through our own operations, we want to reduce the burden on the environment and contribute to sustainable consumption. We take green values into account and do our part to mitigate climate change. We recognize the world’s limited resources, so we strive to produce as small a carbon footprint as possible. We want to develop our operations in environmental matters in the long term.
We train our staff in environmental issues and develop our theatre to be more environmentally friendly. We invest in ecological thinking in all our production processes. We want to commit our partners and customers to act with the environment in mind. We require our suppliers and contractual partners to be responsible in the management of environmental issues, and ecological values and operating methods are our major criteria when choosing partners.
We monitor electricity, water and heat consumption. On the roof of the theatre, additional electricity is produced by its own solar power plant, which was commissioned in the spring of 2024. We make responsible solutions in material procurement and make very good use of materials. We strive to minimise the amount of waste generated. We invest in waste sorting and recycling and strive to reuse all materials as efficiently as possible. We strictly comply with legal requirements and other binding obligations to our organization. Our greatest environmental achievement is to offer world-class performances, which means that audiences do not have to travel abroad.
