It retains its suspense until the end and surprises the viewer again and again. When the party arrives, it turns out that the host couple has not yet arrived. On the edge of the fireplace there is an old rhyme about ten soldier boys and ten soldier statues. In the rhyme, each soldier boy dies, one at a time. Soon, a record starts in which every guest and the servants of the house are accused of murder. Then the members of the entourage begin to die. With each death, one of the ten porcelain soldier boy statues disappears. Until there is not one left.Agatha Christie dramatized her 1939 novel And Then There Were None, which premiered in 1943. The detective novel offers an intense two-hour performance on the Arena stage, which has proven its place as the number one stage for suspense plays. In the intimate atmosphere of the Arena stage, the super popular Agatha Christie’s Mousetrap was also enjoyed in the autumn of 2023. The cast includes Anna Ackerman, Jesse Gyllenbögel, Heidi Herala, Juha Jokela, Arttu Kapulainen, Santeri Kinnunen, Jouko Klemettilä, Pertti Koivula, Jari Pehkonen, Kaisa Torkkel and Mikko Virtanen. The play is directed by Sakari Hokkanen and translated into Finnish by Aino Piirola. The composition and sound design are by Aleksi Saura. The set design is by Katariina Kirjavainen, the camouflage is designed by Jaana Nykänen and the costumes are by Elina Kolehmainen. The lighting design is by Petteri Heiskanen, and the dramaturg has been Sanna Niemeläinen.
