Saikku, thank you! – The reception is open in Pasila for 15 performances

The hugely popular Saikkua, kiitos! will have its long-awaited premiere in Helsinki in February. The play, written by the funniest person in the world, stand-up comedian Ismo Leikola and actor Kalle Pylvänäinen , will receive 15 performances during the spring at the Helsinki City Theatre’s studio Pasila. In addition to Pylvänäinen, Mikko Kivinen and Ville Keskilä will take the stage.

Saikku, thank you! mocks almost everything that can happen between a doctor and a patient. During the evening, we will find out whether the health centre doctor will win the Finnish Championships of Doctors or whether Eira’s private plastic doctor will reap the pot. We stop by the organic doctor’s office and hear the latest news from Olavi, who is active as a fake patient. The hospital’s chief physician and his orchestra Duo Aspirin will add their own spice to the performance, interpreting songs written in Ismo Leikola’s inimitable style.

Directed and arranged by actor Otto Kanerva and his crew, the exhilarating touring performance has attracted 40,000 spectators in just a few years, and it has been performed 200 times to full audiences in different parts of Finland and abroad. The audience’s favourite, which will continue in the programme for the spring, will receive a sequel from the same team of filmmakers, More, Please!, which will premiere in autumn 2017.
