The City Theatre’s big favourite The Little Mermaid will continue in the programme in the autumn

Värikkäässä näyttämökohtauksessa näyttelijät tanssivat värikkäissä merieläinpuvuissa energisesti kahden päähenkilön, merenneiton ja punapukuisen miehen, ympärillä dramaattisen valtameri-aiheisen valaistuksen alla.

Helsinki City Theatre has good news in honour of World Theatre Day: the popular musical The Little Mermaid will receive additional performances in autumn 2020. Tickets will go on sale on 22 April. Among the performances cancelled in the spring due to the coronavirus pandemic, there were 33 sold-out performances of The Little Mermaid , whose customers will receive advance purchase and reservation rights for the autumn performances already a week before the others.

“We have received a huge number of contacts from customers who have wished for a continuation of their favourite performances next autumn. Now we are happy to announce that the schedules for The Little Mermaid will be arranged, the actors have been reached , and we will have Ariel, Erik and co. on stage in the autumn season as well,” says Theatre Director Kari Arffman

“Customers of performances cancelled in the spring due to the coronavirus will have the right to pre-purchase and reserve the autumn performances already a week before the others. The theatre is in contact with these customers, and we will provide them with instructions on how to get tickets for the autumn. Unfortunately, we are unable to make reservations in advance. There will be even more performances and tickets for the autumn than were cancelled in the spring, so there will be enough tickets for new customers as well,” says Marketing Manager Olli Eljaala

The Disney musical The Little Mermaid premiered on the big stage of the Helsinki City Theatre on 29 August 2019, and it was originally supposed to continue in the repertoire until 9 May 2020. The musical, which has been a huge success with audiences and has received rave reviews, is directed by Samuel Harjanne, and it stars Sonja PajunojaMartti Manninen and others. Sanna Saarijärvi
