Another bottle of cava

It was wonderful to be able to go to the theatre again after a long time. On the Arena stage of the Helsinki City Theatre (Hämeentie 2), Helena Anttonen’s Second Bottle of Cava premiered.

The performance is an independent sequel to the hugely popular Bottle of Cava and the Sun. Personally, I haven’t seen this Bottle of Cava and the Sun show, but it didn’t bother me in any way. The comedy, which takes place under the Portuguese sun, is very captivating. Four friends Tuulia (Aino Seppo), Anita (Eija Vilpas), Vonne (Jaana Saarinen) and Inka (Heidi Herala) had made their big dream come true. They had renovated the house into an old people’s house. However, money worries weigh on her and the friends organize, among other things, art courses. However, this is not enough and the relationship between the friends begins to become inflamed and it is time for many solutions. The friends also include Tuulia’s grandson Sami (Joel Hirvonen) and Anita’s discovery on the dating site Lasse (Eero Saarinen).
Many of the scenes in the play were very exhilarating so that the audience laughed out loud. Heidi Herala’s funny dances made me laugh with tears in my eyes and Eija Vilpas never disappoints. He’s always brilliant. The whole cast did a great job and the second bottle of cava was full-bodied in taste. Thank you!
