The Oscar-winning epic classic film will come to life on HKT's big stage next fall. The musical, which will premiere in Finland on August 29, 2024, is directed by Swedish director Anders Albien.

Actor Pekka Strang has been chosen for the lead role in the farce Ilmasta raha at the Helsinki City Theatre. Strang, known for his strong farce and comedy skills, will replace Aku Hirviniemi, who left the play, and will return to HKT's stage after a break of years.

This year's Christmas play The Snow Queen by the Helsinki City Theatre and the Shed musical theatre group for children and young people is a new Finnish musical version of H.C. Andersen's classic story. The play will premiere at Studio Pasila on 2 December.

Helsinki City Theatre wants to enable all elderly people in Helsinki to encounter art and theatre. With the Art in the Homes of the Elderly project, which was launched by HKT in 2021, the Elonsiivous theatre performance has also been created, which has delighted the audience. The performance has been touring service units in Helsinki since February 2023, and two performances of it will also be held in the balcony foyer of the City Theatre in November and December.

In early 2024, the Helsinki City Theatre will premiere the farce Money from the Air, the British play Jerusalem, the thriller 2:22 A Ghost Story, the boisterous musical comedy Forever Young and the dance performance Blood Wedding. Lilla Teatern's spring premiere will feature the musical Katrina.
