The Arena stage, which has been converted into a retirement home for actors, will feature the best hits of the past decades when the musical comedy Forever Young premieres on 7 March. The play, written by Erik Gedeon from Switzerland, is directed by Heikki Sankari and the roles are played by actors familiar from HKT's musicals.

In the spring of 2024, the stage of Helsinki City Theatre's Contemporary Performance will feature two fascinating works: Empty Stage, which combines stage scenes and musical performances, and the surprising and anarchic speech performance The Beginning, the Middle, the End. The stage, which encourages dialogue between the arts, brings contemporary performances into the theatre's repertoire.

One of the most beloved plays by farce master Michael Cooney, Money from the Air will have its long-awaited premiere on the big stage of the Helsinki City Theatre on 15 February. The juicy farce is directed by Sari Siikander. The main roles are played by Janne Kataja and Pekka Strang.

The award-winning 2:22 A Ghost Story will premiere on the Arena stage on February 8. The intense thriller premiered in London in 2021 and has already been called a modern classic. The play is directed by Paavo Westerberg and the main roles are played by Pia Andersson, Sanna-June Hyde, Sauli Suonpää and Lauri Tilkanen.

HKT's programme includes five guest performances during the spring: Minttu Mustakallio's and Ville Virtanen's improvisational duet Minttu and Ville, improvisational theatre Stella Polaris' Free Fall and PRIMA VISTA performances, Mika Eirtovaara's stand-up show Ihminen, Ali Jahangir's Uusi Alku and Swedish comedian Nour El Refai with his Swedish-language performance Nour El Refai – säger skämt i ca 75 minutes.

The Art in the Homes of the Elderly project, launched by HKT's audience outreach in 2021, will culminate on 7 February in a streamed performance of the play Elonsiivous, which delighted the audience, which the theatre invites everyone to watch, regardless of age.
