The Helsinki City Theatre’s repertoire includes four guest performances this autumn. On stage, we will see the trio of Jukka Rasila, Ville Keskilä and Kalle Pylvänäinen, who are also responsible for the script of the performance. The songs are written by Ismo Leikola. The performance is directed by Otto Kanerva together with the working group, and the trilogy is produced by Iltama Oy.
Mentalist Pete Poskiparta
The Arena Stage will feature performances by Finland’s number one mentalist Pete Poskiparta on 21 and 22 November. Mentalist Pete Poskiparta reads the audience’s thoughts, plays with the illusions of the mind and tests the limits of his memory. Pete’s most amazing numbers over the years have been selected for the performances, as well as a number of new material.
Pete Poskiparta was chosen as the Magician of the Year in Finland in 2014 and he has won the internationally acclaimed Dunninger Memorial Award for mentalism in 2019. He is also the Sole Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 selected by the Federation of Finnish Enterprises. His tours have already attracted more than 33,000 viewers around Finland.
The performance is recommended for children over 10 years of age.
Ismo Leikola – Ismo in English
The funniest person in the world, Ismo Leikola, will visit the Arena stage for a total of four Ismo in English performances. Ismo will take the stage on November 28 and December 3 and 4. Ismo in English is a unique performance of Ismo Leikola’s English-language stand-up comedy. During the performance, you will hear content that Ismo usually tells on stages in the United States and elsewhere in the world.
Ismo Leikola started his stand-up career in 2002 in Finland and is now one of Finland’s best-known comedians. He made his U.S. debut in 2014 at the Hollywood comedy club Laugh Factory, where he won the title of The Funniest Person in the World.
The performances on the Arena stage are in English and are not recommended for children under the age of 16.
Ali Jahangiri – A New Beginning Ali Jahangiri will visit Studio Pasila on 9 December. Uusi Alku is her latest all-night stand-up performance, the central theme of which is change and starting something new.
The performance is prohibited for persons under the age of 18.
