Århundradets kärlekssaga
OBS! Inte längre i repertoaren!
Minttu Mustakallio takes us on a journey into the world of Märta Tikkanen in a captivating reinterpretation of the iconic poetry novel.
In the performance, the actor Minttu arrives at the rehearsals of a monologue. To her surprise, the director has also invited a test audience. But the director herself is conspicuous by her absence, and soon she begins to receive the strangest instructions via Teams. It becomes both comical and tragic.
Tikkanen’s classic, first published in 1978, is a timeless and straightforward depiction of an unequal relationship. It is a shocking story, where a woman vents, settles with power and dependence – and keeps herself alive in this way.
The collection of poems has been dramatised by Aino Pennanen and Riikka Oksanen, who also direct the performance.
Right of Performance: Finnish Playwright and Screenwriter. Aino Pennanen’s rights are supervised by Nordic Drama Corner.
