Ei kertonut katuvansa is a new Finnish play based on Tommi Kinnunen’s much-loved novel, which was nominated for the Finlandia Prize. It tells the story of Finnish women who worked for the German army during the Continuation War.

As German troops withdraw from Northern Norway and return home, the Finnish women’s services are no longer needed. Only some of the pregnant women are taken along; the others must return home under a cloud of shame. Working for a respected brother-in-arms has suddenly become an act of treason. To avoid being sent to a prison camp,
a group of women set out on an arduous and dangerous journey, helping one another and reflecting on the choices they have made.
