Norwegian playwright Arne Lygre's audience and critically acclaimed Time of Joy will premiere on 5 September on a small stage. The play, which has gathered full audiences in Norway, Sweden and France, is a playful, hopeful and original tableau about life choices and the attempt to connect with others.

On 4 September, Studio Pasila will premiere a musical entertainment evening for all kinds of women and those who love women, Woman – Always at the Best Age. During the evening, Merja Larivaara, Aino Seppo, Leenamari Unho and Mikko Virtanen will perform on stage together with the Kaihon karavaani orchestra.

Sleeping Beauty – Return to the Future, which mixes a classic fairy tale and time travel by the Helsinki City Theatre and the Shed youth musical theatre group, will premiere on 3 and 4 December. The roles are played by the young people of Shed.

Based on Minna Rytisalo's award-winning debut novel (2016), Lempi will premiere on 21 November on a small stage. The densely atmospheric drama is directed by Miika Muranen and the roles are played by an amazing trio of actors Ursula Salo, Vappu Nalbantoglu and Sauli Suonpää.

This autumn, Lilla Teatern will put on the largest production in the theatre's history. Dancer in the Dark, based on Lars von Trier's film of the same name, is a rhythmic, glittering musical directed by Jakob Höglund. For the first time, dancers from the Helsinki City Theatre's dance group Helsinki Dance Company will also participate. The main role is played by the beautiful singing Lumi Aunio.

The highly anticipated premiere of Moulin Rouge! The musical has aroused the audience's enthusiasm and the performances fill up quickly. More than 76% of the tickets, more than 66,000 tickets, have already been sold and reserved with three weeks left until the premiere.
