The City Theatre published its annual report for 2023 – in the 2023–2024 performance year, the theatre had almost 276,000 spectators

A total of 23 premieres were produced at the Helsinki City Theatre in the 2023–2024 performance year. A total of almost 276,000 spectators visited the theatre during the autumn and spring (2022–2023: 251,000, 2021–2022: 140,000). In addition, a total of more than 30,000 people participated in audience outreach activities and various events.

Helsinki City Theatre and the Finnish National Theatre’s joint Young Stage local festival will be held at the end of April

Helsinki City Theatre and the Finnish National Theatre are jointly organising the Helsinki Metropolitan Area Young Stage local festival on 25.-27.4.2024 at HKT's studio in Pasila and the National Theatre's Small Stage. Over the course of three days, a total of 13 performances of young groups' interpretations of the plays will be performed: Pauliina Feodoroff's The Colonial Nation, Marko Järvikallas' The Cherry Bomb, Arda Salaniemi's (formerly Palomaanation). These are the nine autumn premieres of the Helsinki City Theatre

In autumn 2024, the Helsinki City Theatre will premiere Moulin Rouge! The Musical, My Brother the Lionheart, The Surprise Guest, The Time of Joy, Silence and The Woman – Always at the Best Age. Lilla Teatern's autumn premieres include Dancer in the Dark and Århundradets kärlekssaga. The stage premiere of the contemporary performance is Whatever Love Means.
