Astrid Lindgren's beloved classic fairy tale Brother Lionheart (Bröderna Lejonhjärta, 1973) will premiere on the big stage of HKT on 17 October as a recognizable adaptation for today's children and young people.

Märta Tikkanen's poetry novel The Love Story of the Century will premiere at Lilla Teatern on 10 October. On stage is award-winning actress Minttu Mustakallio. Directed by Riikka Oksanen and dramatised by Oksanen and Aino Pennanen, Tikkanen's powerful texts are highlighted in a different context.

The dance performance Silence by the Helsinki City Theatre's dance group, Helsinki Dance Company and Kinetic Orchestra will premiere on a small stage on 9 October. Choreographer Jarkko Mandelin's new work takes his trademark choreography that combines contemporary dance, acrobatics and martial arts techniques even further.

The comedy Surprise Guest, written by Steven Moffat, will premiere on the Arena stage of the Helsinki City Theatre on 12 September. The main roles in the new comedy are played by Sanna Saarijärvi, Vuokko Hovatta and Santeri Kinnunen.

Norwegian playwright Arne Lygre's audience and critically acclaimed Time of Joy will premiere on 5 September on a small stage. The play, which has gathered full audiences in Norway, Sweden and France, is a playful, hopeful and original tableau about life choices and the attempt to connect with others.

On 4 September, Studio Pasila will premiere a musical entertainment evening for all kinds of women and those who love women, Woman – Always at the Best Age. During the evening, Merja Larivaara, Aino Seppo, Leenamari Unho and Mikko Virtanen will perform on stage together with the Kaihon karavaani orchestra.
