The successful musical Katrina returns to Lilla Teatern och musik släpps på strömningspalvelut / Menestysmusikaali Katrina palaa Lilla Teaternii ja musiikkia julkaisuan virtapalvelut

Performances of the musical Katrina continue at Lilla Teatern from March 12. The beloved musical, which is praised by audiences and critics, has earlier this year played successfully at Wasa Theatre and Åbo Svenska Teater. The musical has been seen by 16,000 people and the music has now been released on streaming services.

This is all the audience work at the Helsinki City Theatre

In 2024, the Helsinki City Theatre's audience outreach organised more than 600 events aimed at different target groups, with more than 23,400 participants. Finland's largest theatre's audience outreach department will continue to carry out its diverse socially responsible work in the field of performing arts in 2025.

Inspired by true crime and mystery, Beauty and the Beasts will premiere in April

The fifth co-production of HKT and the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki, which began in spring 2021, will premiere on a small stage on 10 April. The roles are played by 12 future theatre artists studying at the Theatre Academy, and a student of the Theatre Academy is also responsible for the sound design. The play, written by Sinna Virtanen, is directed by award-winning director Linda Wallgren.

Unrestrained and sensitive Jenny Hill strikes with the rhythm of a flamenco shoe

Jenny Hill, based on Minna Rytisalo's popular novel (2023), will premiere on the small stage on 13 February. Dramatized by Henna Piirto and directed by Liisa Mustonen, the comedy-drama is a coming-of-age story of a middle-aged woman that combines elements of circus art and dance, and offers great solos to virtuoso actors. The main role is played by Sari Haapamäki.
