My Brother the Lionheart, which charmed children and adults, will continue in the City Theatre’s repertoire in autumn 2025

Helsinki City Theatre's major investment for children and families, Veljeni Leijonamieli, will continue in the theatre's repertoire in autumn 2025. The magical performance directed by Jakob Höglund, which combines musical theatre, puppet theatre and choreography, has delighted children and adults alike, and the performances for this autumn and spring 2025 are almost sold out.

Moulin Rouge! The performance of the musical had to be interrupted – the performance was resumed with an actor on standby

Helsinki City Theatre's Moulin Rouge! The performance of the musical had to be interrupted on Tuesday 29 October due to the unwell of the actor Risto Kaskilahti, who played the main role. The performance was able to continue after the stand-in actor Osku Ärilä stepped into the role. Ärilä will also be seen in the role of Harold Zidler in the performances on Wednesday 30 October and Friday 1 November.

In early 2025, HKT will premiere You, Margot, based on Meri Valkama's bestselling novel, the drama comedy Jenny Hill, Agatha Christie's masterpiece And None Was Saved, and the apocalyptic musical comedy New Eden. Lilla Teatern's spring premiere will be Skymning 41 – the story of Molly and Henry.
